Chrome Settings
- Before starting your exam or assessment, click the lock icon in the URL/address bar and select “Site Settings.”
- In the settings tab that opens, make sure the following permissions are set to “Allow”: Camera, Microphone, Flash, Pop-ups and Redirects.
- Return to the exam/assessment page. If you see a message below the URL/address bar asking you to reload the page, click the blue “Reload” button. Then, launch your exam or assessment.
Chrome Settings macOS
- Before launching the exam/assessment, open System Settings by clicking on the Apple Icon.
- Select Privacy & Security from the left bar list, then select Screen Recording
- Under Screen Recording, toggle on Google Chrome.
Note: You will need to enter your password to unlock Screen Recording - When prompted, click Quit & Reopen. The change will not take effect and you will not be able to share your screen until you quit and restart your browser (Applicable when Chrome is open/running while doing this troubleshooting)
Firefox Settings
- Before starting your exam or assessment, click the lock icon in the URL/address bar and select “Connection Secure.”
- Click on “More Information.”
- In the “Permissions” tab, allow the following: Open Pop-up Windows, Use the Camera and Use the Microphone.
If the “Use Default” box is checked, uncheck it before selecting “Allow.”
- Launch the exam/assessment
Safari Settings
- Click the camera icon on the left side of the URL bar to check if your browser has access to your camera and microphone.
- Use the drop-down menu to select “Allow” or “Always Allow” to grant permission.
Microsoft Edge Settings
- Click the three dots in your Edge browser and select “Settings.”
- Go to “Cookies and site permissions.”
- Select “Camera,” “Microphone” and “Pop-ups and redirects,” then adjust the settings as needed to match the instructions below.
Opera Settings
- Go to “Settings” in your Opera browser.
- In the left sidebar, click “Advanced” and then select “Privacy & security.”
- Under “Privacy and security,” click “Site settings.”
- Adjust the settings for “Camera,” “Microphone” and “Pop-ups and Redirects” to allow the site to request access.
If you have more than one camera connected, you can select your default camera from the dropdown menu.
Set the permissions as shown below.
Android Settings
- Tap the Site Permission Icon at the top left corner of the page.
- Select the permission setting that says “Access your camera.”
- Tap “Allow,” then return to the home screen. Your camera access should now be enabled.
iOS
- Open the Settings app on your iOS device and select “Safari.”
- Toggle the switch next to “Camera and Microphone Access” to turn it on.
