“The two most frequent causes of technical issues are (1) testing on an employer-issued computer and (2) unreliable internet connections. Firewalls or security settings from employer-issued computers may prevent the OnVUE software from operating properly. Unreliable internet connections (e.g., wireless networks, hotels, VPNs, mobile hotspots) may interrupt connectivity. For these reasons, we strongly recommend using a personal computer (i.e., one not issued by your employer) and a wired, ethernet connection." 2
Users are able to use computers that they are not the administrator on as no download and/or the install of any extension, plug-in or program is required. This extensively reduces support requirements and creates the ability for user to launch Integrity Advocate in less than 60 seconds (without having to make an appointment or pre-register).
Integrity Advocate also works across various band-widths and internet conditions i.e. if internet is lost momentarily, when the LMS becomes visible again so will Integrity Advocate and the user can continue without any interruption.
OnVue collects the users name, address, email address, phone number, fax number, credit/debit card information, company and title, language, date of birth, social security number, employment information, education information, and source of financing for your tests. For candidate verification and identification purposes, they may collect all or part of a government-issued identification number and mother’s maiden name.3
Integrity Advocate does not require pre-registration and is accessible on-demand. Because or our seamless integration with the LMS used, the personally identifiable information we receive from the LMS is limited to your name and email.
“Minimum requirements; Windows 11 & 10(64-bit) – (excluding ‘S Mode’) macOS 10.15 and above – (excluding beta versions) Note: macOS,“ starting with Mojave, now requires permission from the user to allow any hardware access to an application, which includes OnVUE (proctorapp). Candidates should be prompted to allow this application. Note: Windows Operating Systems must pass Genuine Windows Validation. • Windows8/8.1, Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP are not supported for exam delivery • Linux/Unix and Chrome based Operating Systems are not supported.” 4
Integrity Advocate does not require the use of a computer (computers, tablets and even phones can be used), unless limited by client setting preferences. Additionally, Integrity Advocate will check and restrict access to non-current Operating Systems that are no longer receiving security updates. This in conjunction with not requiring a specific browser or the installation of an application, plugin or extension, eliminates a vast number of potential support issues.
When users compete tests though the OnVue proctoring platform, “the audio- and video-tapes of your testing session will be supplied to the relevant test sponsor and any of their appointed agents” 5
Integrity Advocate by design ensures no 3rd parties can watch test-takers, restricts viewing of captured session media to our reviewers, and provides only still images to clients where they relate to a potential violation (after our reviews have blocked out anything visible that may have been in advertently shared but yet private or sensitive to the user).
