Safety Mentor and Integrity Advocate are teaming up to improve continuing education programming

Together, we’re working to enhance protection against AI ‘study aids’ and other threats to the integrity of CE/T learning events.

Background

Recently, International Accreditors for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) issued a notice to member organizations about the crucial need for robust processes to verify learner identity and participation in CE/T learning events. Specifically, with the availability of AI plugins that can automatically complete assessment questions, there is a growing threat of continuing education units (CEUs) being awarded without the direct participation of the intended learner. 

As an IACET-accredited training provider, Safety Mentor understands the importance of integrity in the design, development and implementation of CE/T learning events. By verifying learner identities and confirming their participation in online CEUs, Integrity Advocate and Safety Mentor will work to mitigate occupational health and safety risks, maintain regulatory compliance, perform organizational due diligence and elevate the evaluation of learner competency. 

What Does This Mean for Learners?

In choosing to work with Integrity Advocate, Safety Mentor looked at several factors, not the least of which was concern for the learner experience.
